Below are biographical sketches of our professionals:
Reed Jordan (1957-2013), Founder
Prior to starting his public accounting practice in 1993, Mr. Jordan was a Senior Manager with the accounting firm of KPMG, LLP. During his 13-year career with KPMG, Mr. Jordan was actively involved in the management of the tax practice, in addition to serving as tax recruiting coordinator in 1987 - 1991. He provided tax services primarily to closely held businesses and their owners, high wealth individuals, trusts, and real estate partnerships. Mr. Jordan was a senior auditor with KPMG prior to joining the tax department in 1982.
Mr. Jordan holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. While there, Mr. Jordan was President and Treasurer of the Sigma Chi fraternity, and was a member of the Silver Spurs honorary service organization. He has lectured at seminars for KPMG on a variety of topics, and has provided tax editorial service for a major publishing company.
Mr. Jordan passed away on December 17, 2013 after a 5-month battle with leukemia. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth, and their three daughters. We remember Reed not only as an exceptional CPA and business owner, but as a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on.
His firm, which he started over 27 years ago and which he operated with excellence right up until his passing, will continue to operate under the direction of Todd Hansen.
Todd Hansen, President
Todd joined the firm in December of 2000 and has over 30 years experience in public accounting. Prior to joining our firm, he worked for a large local accounting firm in downtown Houston where he was a tax manager. Mr. Hansen specializes in the tax area, but also has experience in audit, compilation and review services. He also has provided contract CFO services to a large Houston company.
Mr. Hansen has provided tax services for individuals, partnerships, corporations, non-profit organizations, trusts and estates. His audit experience includes Houston area business, banks and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Hansen received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and is a member of the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. He became a certified public accountant in September of 1986 and maintains the highest level of professional competence through extensive continuing education, seminars, and workshops.
Mr. Hansen is married with three children. He has lived in west Houston since 1963. When not working, Mr. Hansen enjoys spending time with his children and their activities, and playing golf.
